I became a Taoist by accident. I suppose I was exposed to the ideas years ago but I hadn’t thought about them seriously in years. What I had been studying was Jungian psychology and the phenomena of synchronicity. What follows is an overview of the evolution in my thinking over the last year.
I engage with [...]

It can be tempting when you are at the state of "cogito ergo sum" or with experiences in meditation. Many a witch or wizard might begin their path in a state of solipsism.
Probably desperation and futility will result, because in my opinion you can’t achieve much as long as you cannot distinguish hindrances and possibilities and see it all as one creamy soup of a dream.
Just constantly – "ergo" – inseminating yourself gives some strength to survive but not yet a sovereignity to act.
Your own solipsism will automatically challenge others to perform Wittgenstein’s classic counter-argument in some form or another, i.e. beating you up, the fucking love-letter that would prove you’re not alone in the world.
Solipsists punish themselves with loneliness and are afraid to enjoy the freedom of others – it’s a painful and boring state.
In one way or another they should break out of the vicious circle of their fear of the freedom of others. This time it would not mean to give up all one’s goals. You have an ego and a will, like everybody else. Other people’s wills should be part of your calculation when you make strategy. Restricting their wills will only cause flight or fight on their side, you’d end up harmed or alone. Respect! And enjoy the fact that you’re not alone. Understand and make yourself understood!
You are not alone! We are there!
Just from time to time this has to be said in clear words, it’s an important lesson in the work.
So I said it, even if my friends in KIA know it already. It’s here in a place of the net that might attract one solipsist or another to read some stuff.

The true magician knows Gnosis, the sense of Mu or empowers his Limbs or all of that.
Poetry that alludes to the Thathagathas project might appeal to him.
He might encounter liars who claim to be magicians and use this glamorous claim only to intimidate and as an attempt to gain social power.
If the true magician’s heart is pure like described, the Brotherhood will know him.
If the liars try to get through a policy of "no magicians but us" and be dangerous to the true magician, then Genii will come forth from distant palaces, with every step faster than the liars, and aid him, whether he has a disease in body or mind or is sane, if they be recognized by the liars or not.
And again he will be able to stand in simple clothes and make every illumination immanent.
Mocked be the hypocrite!
Sounds like a statement, and might be useful and have some power if seen as such, but basically it’s really speculation.

Do What Thou Wilt Shall Be The Whole Of The Law.
Oh dear. I just had word that my first real occult teacher has passed to the other side and so I thought I’d write a few words to honour him, and my memory of my time under his tutelage.
Barry Salkilld, known as Frater C.D. was the founding member and Imperator (leader) of the Order of the Golden Phoenix, which was abbreviated into O.P.A. being the initials of the Latin name of the Order. Barry was a very headstrong man, down-to-earth yet noble to the point of being a damned annoying bastard at times.
I first came to the O.P.A. at age 21 on recommendation by a member of my family when I wanted to start investigating the unseen forces that existed in the world. I had been brought up vaguely Jewish but a strong curious mind soon had me testing and exploring other religious systems and traditions. It only took a couple of phone calls and soon I was off to the venue in Summer Hill known to me then only as The Abbey.

The feel of the cold nosed muzzles
of me friends,
The feel of friendship
when it’s right,
The smell of a deer
left in its place of rest.
The touch of hands, and minds,
whether of cold or warm,
The curses, the cures,
the damning and the love,
and all is well.

As afore here, sometimes, I give an account of a magical Work. The soon to be written account will be of the annoyance and dealing with of four young men who seem intent on robbing the place where I work when I am on shift. You will understand that this has drawn some annoyance from meself. The Hunt is going well and I have now physically seen the faces of the four I feel I must deal with.
I began the Hunt last eve and its worth was soon found and tonight, I shall nip them.
They are young yet, and at one time, so was meself.

The Intentional Economy
http://realitysandwich.com/intentional_economy
Daniel Pinchbeck
While exploring shamanism and non-ordinary states, I discovered the power of intention. According to the artist Ian Lungold, who lectured brilliantly about the Mayan Calendar before his untimely death a few years ago, the Maya believe that your intention is as essential to your ability to navigate reality as your position in [...]
