The Power of Enjoyment

It’s quite a while since I posted a little meditative sorcery technique into the Wiki. I developed this one myself. It bascially consists of attracting a probability and tuning into it by enjoying it.
The article is here: http://network.kiamagic.com/wiki/index.php?title=Tuning_Into_Probabilities
I more or less failed with applying this one to wishes that were very important to me. Sometimes there were approximate results but not full enough to be satisfying. (something like karma, blueprints, complexes?)
But I just tried this one for a very simple unimportant thing, just as an experiment if I am still able or the technique still works.
What I did was I "wished for" seeing someone with a piece of red clothing outside shortly before I went to the supermarket which is just a few houses away, here – or I rather tuned into the probability of seeing a piece of red clothing. Well, on my way to the supermarket and back I then saw five pieces of red clothing on people plus one purple and two orange jackets. To me this seems a result. I would say it works in a technical sense but maybe it’s not suited for every goal.
I’d be curious what happens to you if you experiment with this technique. Has anybody else ever tried it out? I encourage that you carry out a similar little experiment with it. Success seems very dependent on personal disposition and the chance of the desired event coming about, it seems.
But I actually should check if red clothing is not so common anyway that this was pure coincidence. I’ll observe that again next time I am out on the street and see how many red clothes I usually encounter.

Addition:

To clarify what I mean by "approximate results" I can think of an example: you wish for sex and as a result you find a porn dvd when you carry the garbage to the backyard. This has not happened to me but similar slaps in the face.

God Gene

As part a of a discussion I got involved in I’m also reading the book the God Gene, from a sceptical angle. There are some interesting ideas in it, but I think the thesis (’spirituality’ is a genetic trait) is flawed. Am preparing a chapter by chapter review.

Abort, Retry, Ignore?

Abort, Retry, Ignore?
A poem based on E. A. Poe’s The Raven.
By Anonymous

Once upon a midnight dreary, fingers cramped and vision bleary,
System manuals piled high and wasted paper on the floor,
Longing for the warmth of bed sheets, still I sat there doing
spreadsheets.
Having reached the bottom line I took a floppy from the drawer
I then invoked the SAVE command and waited for the disk to store,
Only this and nothing more.

Deep into the monitor peering, long I sat there wond’ring, fearing.
Doubting, while the disk kept churning, turning yet to churn some more.
But the silence was unbroken, and the stillness gave no token.
"Save!" I said, "You cursed mother! Save my data from before!"
One thing did the phosphors answer, only this and nothing more,
Just, "Abort, Retry, Ignore?"

Was this some occult illusion, some maniacal intrusion?
These were choices undesired, ones I’d never faced before.
Carefully I weighed the choices as the disk made impish noises.
The cursor flashed, insistent, waiting, baiting me to type some more.
Clearly I must press a key, choosing one and nothing more,
From "Abort, Retry, Ignore?"

With fingers pale and trembling, slowly toward the keyboard bending,
Longing for a happy ending, hoping all would be restored,
Praying for some guarantee, timidly, I pressed a key.
But on the screen there still persisted words appearing as before.
Ghastly grim they blinked and taunted, haunted, as my patience wore,
Saying "Abort, Retry, Ignore?"

I tried to catch the chips off guard, and pressed again, but twice as
hard.
I pleaded with the cursed machine: I begged and cried and then I swore.
Now in mighty desperation, trying random combinations,
Still there came the incantation, just as senseless as before.
Cursor blinking, angrily winking, blinking nonsense as before.
Reading, "Abort, Retry, Ignore?"

There I sat, distraught, exhausted, by my own machine accosted.
Getting up I turned away and paced across the office floor.
And then I saw a dreadful sight: a lightning bolt cut through the night.
A gasp of horror overtook me, shook me to my very core.
The lightning zapped my previous data, lost and gone forevermore.
Not even, "Abort, Retry, Ignore?"

To this day I do not know the place to which lost data go.
What demonic nether world is wrought where lost data will be stored,
Beyond the reach of mortal souls, beyond the ether, into black holes?
But sure as there’s C, Pascal, Lotus, Ashton-Tate and more,
You will be one day be left to wander, lost on some Plutonian shore,
Pleading, "Abort, Retry, Ignore?"

Void the Warranty

You don’t truly own something until you’ve broken it a few times. Until you’ve voided the warranty by taking it apart to see how it works and putting it back together again and having a few extra parts left over that you keep in a jar by the microwave.
Do you own…
…What you own?
…Your relationships?
…Your Life?
…Your [...]

Five Minute Life Coach

What would you do if you didn’t have to do anything?
What would you do if time, money and talent didn’t matter?
Take that list and list just the verbs. For example, “Sing in a Band” becomes “sing.”
How many of those verbs do you do now?
How many of them could you do right now, if you just [...]
