Oh, fire-spinner!
Your spinning attracts a crowd
Even people on boats!
Boats with booming sound systems
to provide a soundtrack to your art
Daft Punk
Darude
Benni Benassi
And the oohs and aahs and hooting and hollering
Faces lit by both the fires you spin
And the art you give

It happened in a park, surrounded by towering machinery, rolling hills, and a clear view of the downtown area behind the water. From dusk until nightfall. Seeing friends that I felt like I hadn’t seen in months. Someone mentioned that she thought I’d dropped off the face of the earth.
I tell you, there ain’t nothing like dancing like a salmon trying to jump upstream, with the music blasting from the boat of a curious spectator, in front of a couple of people laughing their asses off. With a guy twirling a fire staff a few feet away.
And the view was breathtaking.

I tend to simplify and synthesize the functional description of systems down to four elements. For me this has proven the simplest useful description of how things work. These elements are the same as the classical four elements: fire, water, air, earth and as the suits of playing cards: clubs, hearts, spads, and diamonds.
Over the years I’ve layered so many different systems and processes over the four elements have become a kind of metaparadigm for me. I connect the parts of an interaction system relating to desires and intention with fire, feeling and perceptions with water, objectivity and analysis with air, and finally, physical reality and action with earth.
Written for an audience slightly less knowledgeble than this one, I suppose.

I can ne’er recall the year; I always ask a friend ,*chuckle* and they tell me, but every years, so far, I always recall the day/date, August 8th. My friend will tell me 2003. That which others name ‘time’, says it is six years since the first stroke. Today, I have done thus: I always knew I knew how to swim, and now, having done so, I actually remeber how to do so.
))))
Breaststroke, backstroke, sidestroke, butterfly, etc!
and Oh, the feel of the water was wonderful.
I shall do this again!
*chuckle* all them strokes, lol!
